1. Information we collect

Account information

• Email address
• Display / screen name
• Profile picture (if you upload one)
• Account identifiers from our auth provider (Firebase)

Usage and learning data

• Conversations you practice, create, or share
• Progress, scores, and related learning activity
• Groups you join or own (where applicable)

Billing information

• Your chosen payment plan
• Stripe customer / subscription identifiers
• We do not store full card numbers; payments are processed by Stripe

Technical and location information

• Approximate location inferred from IP (country, region, timezone) for language defaults and service analytics
• Basic device / browser information and logs needed to run and secure the service
• Analytics identifiers if Google Analytics is enabled

Communications

• Messages you send via our contact form (and any attachments)

2. How we use your information

• Provide and improve the learning service
• Create and manage your account
• Process subscriptions and payments
• Send service emails (for example plan confirmations and support replies)
• Detect abuse, fix bugs, and keep the platform secure
• Comply with legal and accounting requirements

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Service providers we use

We share data with processors only as needed to run the service, including:

• Firebase (Google) — sign-in / authentication and related user data
• Stripe — payment processing and receipts (see stripe.com/privacy)
• Resend — transactional and support emails
• OpenAI and other AI providers — conversation generation, translation, and speech assessment features
• Google Cloud — text-to-speech and related services where used
• Speechmatics — speech-to-text where used
• Hosting and database providers — running the website and storing data
• MaxMind — IP-based approximate geolocation
• Google Analytics — understanding site usage (if enabled)
• Sentry — error monitoring (if enabled)

4. Legal bases (where applicable)

Depending on where you live, we may process data to perform our contract with you (provide the service), for legitimate interests (security, product improvement), with your consent where required, or to meet legal obligations (for example tax records for payments).

5. Retention

We keep account and learning data while your account is active. Billing records may be kept longer as required for accounting and law. You can ask us to delete your account; some records may remain where we must retain them.

6. Your rights

Subject to local law (including Thailand’s PDPA if it applies), you may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data, or ask questions about our processing. Contact support@easyenglish.dev.

7. Children

The service may be used by students, including younger learners under teacher or parent guidance. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child provided data without appropriate consent, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to address it.

8. International transfers

Our providers may process data in other countries. We use established providers and standard commercial safeguards appropriate to an online SaaS product.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, access-controlled systems). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the site after updates means you accept the revised policy.
